Dear colleagues,

Further to the success of the media activities surrounding the World Spirometry Day campaign in 2010, we are delighted to share with you the new media toolkit for 2012.

Media coverage of your events will not only attract participants, but will also raise awareness of the importance of lung health within your own communities.

The information in the enclosed documents will provide step-by-step advice on how to engage your local journalists.

In addition to your local activities, the European Lung Foundation will be working on a global media campaign to highlight the objectives of World Spirometry Day to national and international reporters across the world. A news release will be issued worldwide on 27 June 2012 for this purpose.

If you have any questions on working with the media, or you would like further advice, please contact

WSD2012@munroforster.com

or the European Lung Foundation press officer:

Lauren Anderson

We hope that your organisation will join us in harnessing the support of the media and we look forwarding to hearing about your success.

Best wishes

Monica Fletcher
