Route

The route for the lung run is now confirmed.

The start point for the run is by the Ernst Happel stadium, 5 minutes from the Stadion stop on the U-Bahn-Linie U2, and 10 minutes on foot from the Reed Messe Wien.

The run will then move into the park down the main road Hauptallee and round the Lusthaus. The return stretch will move alongside a small lake on Lusthausstraβe before returning to the stadium.

Registration

We would strongly encourage everyone who wishes to participate to register online before the start of the race to allow us to cater for the appropriate number of people. The closing date for online registration is midnight on August 28.

Registration will be open at the ERS Registration at the main entrance of the Reed Messe Wien on Saturday September 1 from 7.00-17.00 CET for Congress participants and the public. Registration will also be possible at the start line on the morning of the race itself, Sunday September 2, from 6:00 till 6:45 CET (15 minutes before the start of the race).

Race numbers

Those registered for the run will receive a full email with details and number the week before the event. Race numbers will be available on Saturday during ERS Congress registration at the main entrance of the Reed Messe Wien for Congress participants and the public from 7.00 until 17.00 CET. You can also pick up your number at the start line on the morning of the race itself, Sunday September 2, from 6.30 CET.

Facilities

Access to the public transport (via tube U2, station “Stadion”) is 5 minutes to walk from the starting and finishing line – most hotels are reachable in a maximum of 30minutes.

Organisers will provide shower and changing room facilities at the Ernst Happel stadium. Baggage storage facilities will be available at the race start for all participants. The organiser assumes no liability for any objects deposited and stored by the participants in the official cloakroom offered by the organiser or for any objects entrusted to any third parties engaged by the organiser.

Water or energy drinks will also be provided when the race ends.

Award ceremony

Medals will be awarded to the three fastest males and three fastest females directly after they have completed the race.
